Discussion:
Which Doc cover style do you like best? Well I like most people here grew up with the Bama image of Doc Savage, but later when I discovered the original pulp covers I realised that I much preffered those images of the man of bronze.

OK, time to spice up this newsgroup a bit and get some people
writing..howsabout this...which Doc do you prefer, the original Doc as shown
on the covers or the one on the Bantam books?
I prefer the Bantam books, Doc looks more "Herculean", he looks pretty wimpy
on the original mag covers, not at all like a "Superman", his face is better
on the magazines but his hair doesn't fit the descriptions, I remember him
wearing a "Bronze skullcap" that covered his hair and had gadgets underneath
and nobody knew, I don't picture that happening with the original Doc's
loose wavey hair but can picture it with the close cropped mane from the
Bantam books.

Mark,
Your URL -> http://www.geocities.com/siliconvalley/1133

takes me to a generic Yahoo.com page. Nothing there about Doc Savage at all.:(

I too like the original pulp covers.

Does anyone know if there is a comprehensive set of the original pulp covers in jpg (or other) images?

thanks

Tony

All covers as thumbnails. Click to see a larger version - some are pretty small.

Next link doesn't have all the covers, but most are large and clean.
