Waiting to get the hardback to match the first book.
I was beginning to give up hope that anyone was reading them.

Normally I'm a fast reader but because of the annoying thing called life, I
haven't been able to finish it yet. I'm guessing this is more Murrey then
Dent. And I really liked the bit about Pat, the incident which I know was
mentioned in one of the original pulps but can't recollect at the moment.

I ordered mine yesterday. Once it gets here, it should be a quick read.

A Murray DOC always reads right; he has Lester Dent's voice, he is
Kenneth Robeson. It just goes on so long -- could have been lots
tighter (but publishers don't want short books).

I'd rate it as at the average for 1938/39.

I always thought it would be better to do a number of shorter stories in one
volume, like the omnibus'. I know Murray can write well but like you said,
they are way too long. It would satisfy everyone. We get tight paced, well
written Doc stories and the publisher gets the page count.
