I was a great fan of Famous Monsters in the 60's. Mr. Ackermonster was a
legend then and remained so through the years. His legend now is a thing for
the ages.

I didn't get into FM until the late '60s or early '70s, but a bit later a
friend gave me several dozen from the '60s, too. They were great, chiefly
due to 4E's sense of humor and love of the movies. It certainly rubbed off
on me. Give me a Universal horror movie ‹ or any '50s sci-fi flick ‹ any
day.

He'll be missed by a legion of fans.

Hey, that's what we THOUGHT the words were,
first time we saw the movie in the theater . . .

I want a creature bust though!

I did get the Invisible Man bust. It's the fourth one there on the
right end. What do you mean, you only see three?

Also, FMoF was our ONLY source back in the day. Stuff like "The 50 (or
whatever) Powers of Dracula" brought forth endless playground
discussion. It was just great great stuff, and made us happy.

I'm told somebody scanned and put up more than 100 issues of FMoF on
something called 'torrents'
