From 1935.....

Just classic DOC SAVAGE. A top 10 thriller, and if it isn't the best,
you can sure make the argument for it.

A greta beginning, with Monk, Ham, and Pat rioght into the action.
Lots of danger and really weird stuff happening right from the very
beginning. This is a DOC to read when you need to recharge your
batteries after a long run of dreary post-war DOCs.

There's the old TIME magazine quote that Ian Fleming must have read
THE FANTASTIC ISLANDand channelled it for DOCTOR NO. Well, Louis
Sachar really must have read the book, because he used the main
gimmick for HOLES.

One of my favourites, Dave, as I recall... and probably one I'll re-
read once I find where that box with half my Banmtam Docs in it has
gone.
